My name is Chad Lewis. I lost sight a little over six years ago at the age of 44 due to a disease called Lebers Hereditary Optic Neuropathy. Losing my sight has forced me to adapt and experience life through a new lens. I'm excited to announce that I will be launching soon a traveling blind website to share my journey. My life motto: 'It is what it is...'
When a major life change happens, you have a choice: dwell on the negatives or pick yourself up and accept your new reality. Make the best of what God has given you and enjoy every moment you have on this earth. As I share my journey on my traveling blind website, I've been able to connect with others and share my story, challenges, and successes with humor and grace. With new opportunities launching soon, I encourage you to embrace your own path.
Traveling Blind will show how I have been able to travel and experience life even with the difficulty of losing my central vision. The insert between each page illustrates the blurriness that represents how I see life through my central vision, providing readers with an understanding of how I navigate through life. Thankfully, my peripheral vision allows me to move through life more easily. I invite you to join me on my journey, and I hope you enjoy the book. Additionally, for those interested, the traveling blind website is launching soon, where you can find more insights and updates.
Subscribe to my newsletter for updates on my book signings and stand-up performances, as well as news about my traveling blind website, which is launching soon.
